M is for Mocha!

Now some of you may be surprised, but what I do as a day job is not quite a cup of tea. It's a little bolder than that, but still just as yummy. It makes my heart beat faster.

It's a cup of coffee- or a hundred.

I may have some of you confused so I'll be more clear- I'm a barista! No, not at your favorite Starbucks or anything like that. We don't "run on Dunkin" around our neck of the woods! You can still "have it your way" by having full customization rights to your drink! :)

I work at a small, locally owned coffee shop, and I wouldn't have it any other way! If you know me, you know I love supporting local and family-run businesses! Besides, we have the best coffee around- I guarantee it! Our espresso is special- so special you can't find it within a hundred mile radius of our little hut! It's so smooth and yummy! The way we pull our shots is exceptional- we take care to ensure every shot is just the right texture and speed, so that your latte is nothing short of to die for! Each barista is taught how to make and maintain quality while making drinks fast and efficiently- BUT quality always comes first!

Anyways, had to insert my little shpeel there. Most people go get coffee before work, but I get it at work! I am SO thanksful for that because while I love working in customer service, some days it's just hard! That's when I'm really glad I have an endless supply of caffeine at my fingertips to give me my daily dose of liquid sunshine! When I get up in the mornings, I look forward to that latte to start my day!

When we meet, don't be surprised if I have a little grudge against Starbucks. I like some of their drinks, and you may find me there on a Sunday after church (because our little coffee shop is closed on Sundays) but it definitely depends on the barista who made it and how much they care about what they're making, as does anything! Coffee is my baby, and it's one thing I won't share! (Ask my husband ;)!) My favorite drink has to be a Mocha, half the flavor, over ice, and sometimes with some whipped cream! I also love iced americanos with cream and honey! For extra hot days, I love our Frescantes, which are a blended half and half drink with espresso! YUMM!
