A Navy + Peach New York Wedding: Shane + Abigail Spencer

Now, I've always been a southern girl and used to hate on northern states for their non-southern things. That is until I visited my (now) husband in Upstate New York one year to attend a spring banquet with him for college.

Don't get me wrong, I still am not in love with the north and wouldn't want to move there (let's be real- because of their lack of sweet tea and southern twang), but I like it a bit more now and can imagine myself vacationing there from time to time. We have a few friends there, and I have visited a few times now all with my husband (I had traveled "up north" literally ONCE before I got married to my Michigan man), one of them being for this wedding of some of our sweet friends Shane and Abby!

Shane and Abby met at Word of Life Bible Institute in New York (where my husband met them), and Shane and my husband, Hugh, have been great friends since they went there together! Hugh was asked to be in the wedding, and I attended as a guest. I still remember being on a "Skype Date" with Hugh while he was roommates with Shane for their first year , and Shane would talk about asking Abby out his second year at Word of Life. It was so cute how he talked about her!

Everything from the cute homemade details, their handmade "Guest Quilt," Honeymood Fund jar, and amazing food to their love for each other that was evident from the first time they saw each other until the very last dance was just perfect! I have a special place in my heart for navy blue and lace, so I loved this wedding! Getting to see great friends was the icing on the cake! It was a great trip, and a wonderful wedding, and I hope you all enjoy this peek into Abby and Shane's wedding!
